Juliet West worked as a newspaper and magazine journalist before taking an MA in Creative Writing at Chichester University in 2009. She graduated with distinction and was joint winner of the Kate Betts’ Memorial Prize.

The opening chapters of Juliet’s debut novel Before the Fall were shortlisted for the Myriad Editions/West Dean novel writing competition in 2012 – the novel was published by Mantle at Pan Macmillan in 2014. The Faithful was published in 2017, also by Pan Macmillan.

Juliet also writes non-fiction books for children, and works as a writing mentor. She has three children and lives in West Sussex.
